About Classroom Hangman
Use Hangman to practise spelling and recall subject vocabulary with the whole class. Start with a prepared keyword set or type a secret word or phrase. A manually entered puzzle takes priority over the selected set, letting you choose terminology from the current lesson.
Pupils suggest letters while the teacher uses the on-screen alphabet or types A to Z. The display tracks incorrect guesses and previously guessed letters. Punctuation appears automatically and spaces are represented by separators, helping the class see the shape of a phrase.
The round allows six incorrect guesses. Reveal can end a difficult round for discussion, while New / Reset starts another puzzle. The tool checks letters against the chosen phrase, not the educational quality of an answer. Prepared word sets load from the site; typed puzzles remain in the browser. Opening the HTML alone may leave the prepared library unavailable, but a manually entered puzzle can still be used.
